Holly Willoughby has shown her support for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after some have criticised the couple's new official images of themselves. The pictures were released just after King Charles III released the first official portrait of himself alongside Queen Consort Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The presenter was speaking during This Morning on Tuesday (October 4) as she returned to hosting duties alongside Phillip Schofield. After kicking off the latest edition of the ITV daytime show, the presenting duo were joined by Matthew Wright and Marverine Cole for the programme's 'This Morning's View' segment which sees them talking through some of the biggest stories of the day.
They started by discussing the King's latest trip to Scotland alongside Camilla, Queen Consort, which saw Charles attend his first official reception as monarch with hundreds of people packing into Holyroodhouse. Charles and Camilla met around 300 members of the British south-east Asian community at a reception in Edinburgh on Monday.

They also spoke of the fact that King Charles will not be attending Cop27, the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, which led to Matthew praising Prince William's latest support of matters outside of their royal duties after he personally tweeted a response to the tragic Molly Russell case which saw online content being contributed towards her death.
But Phillip said: "There is a lot of interest [in the royal family]..." referring to interest in the royal family and the subjects they are passionate about. But he went on to share how the Royal Mint webster crashed on Monday as people grappled to get their hands on the first King Charles III coins. "Some waited more than three hours for the 50p and £5 pieces bearing his face only to be thrown out at the online checkout," the presenter added.
Sticking on the royal theme, Holly went on to share how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had released new official photos yesterday (Monday), two days after the publication of the King's new picture with Camilla and the Prince and Princess of Wales. "This was a picture of the new 'Fab Four', pushing Meghan and Harry out slightly and then they release this picture," Holly explained.
The image shows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex together during their recent trip to Manchester at the One Young World summit last month. "People are saying, 'Oh they've put this picture out and it's really taking the light off this picture, is that bad?' I mean..." Holly added.
Marverine replied: "That is what people will say because there is an army of people who hate Harry and Meghan with a vengeance. They'll never stop. But for anyone who is right-minded, who is sensible, and fair will say it's another fantastic photo." Holly then chimed in: "It's a fantastic photo doing a really important job."
She then added: "There's this idea that there's only one limelight and only one person can have it at any one time." She went on: "But there's enough light out there for them all to shine."
