Alison Hammond swooned as she branded Dermot O'Leary the "longest boyfriend" she's ever had.
The two regularly host episodes of This Morning that air on Friday. Alison and Dermot have enjoyed a well-deserved break as they have been replaced by a rotating team of presenters over recent weeks.
They will return to front the show this Friday and Dermot spoke about how much he missed his co-host. He said: "You do miss the camaraderie, especially in the make-up room at the start of the day - that trust and knowing that we take the p**s out of each other, but we love each other..

"I just love coming to work and doing live telly, and now we've got to know each other more intimately." Alison agreed and said she has missed "the familiarity" with Dermot.
She added: "He’s the longest boyfriend I’ve had in my life!" The hosts last fronted the show earlier in the summer when they replaced regular presenters, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
Dermot described the experience as "great fun". He added: "Alison is a mate now – I wouldn’t have to see her for weeks and I know we’d just pick up where we left off.
Alison added: "Those are the best relationships, where you don’t need to see each other and you know everything’s going to be fine." The two will present Friday's episode of This Morning and Alison teased an image change for the return.
She said: "I might change my hairstyle again… I might shave it all off - actually, you should shave yours again, Dermot." He shot back: "My wife would kill me - she hates it! Although weirdly that’s what snagged her in the first place…"
