Alison Hammond was back at the helm of This Morning today presenting her usual Friday slot. But although ITV viewers are used to seeing her alongside Dermot O'Leary, it was in fact a different co-host that joined her on the programme today.
Irish TV presenter Craig Doyle stepped in for Dermot and his return to the show was very much to viewer's delight. Craig, who is best known for his work on BBC, ITV and BT Sport, made his This Morning hosting debut during the May Bank Holiday earlier this month.
After a successful first show which saw viewers beg for his return, ITV bosses brought him back to host with Alison for a second time, with fans very much enjoying Dermot's replacement.

Alison has become a viewer's favourite since she began hosting the Friday edition of the ITV daytime show in January 2021, as well as stepping in for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby during the school holidays.
She is best known for her big and bold persona, often making humorous and sometimes cheeky remarks to guests on the show.
And today's show was no different as the presenter interviewed none other than pop star Shakira.
In a pre-recorded sit down interview, Alison met Shakira to talk about her newly released song 'Te Felicito', which is based on the idea of being able to create a perfect man.
And of course this inspired Alison, who is reportedly single, to reveal what she wants from her own dream man.
"I'll be honest with you, I have been trying to create my perfect man for a very long time," Alison told Shakira.
"He's got to have good hair, good eyes, a good body and nice legs. I put all that information into a computer and I actually came up with this."
The 46-year-old TV star then pulled out a cardboard cut out made up of all her favourite features from male celebrities, which included George Clooney and David Beckham.
"This is actually my perfect man, we've got the grey hair this is George Clooney, we've got Michael Bublé's face because he's got cute eyes and he's a very good singer.
"We've got Hugh Jackman's body because everyone loves a bit of Wolverine, and then we've got David Beckham's legs."
Shakira then asked 'what about everything else', to which Alison cheekily responded, "I do hear Hugh Jackman is really big down under."
