Alison Hammond appeared slightly horrified when she arrived home to a package containing a severed foot - sort of. The This Morning host appeared to have been out at work with Rylan Clark and Sir Steve Redgrave as they did some filming for Comic Relief, which takes place next Friday (March 17).
But when she got back to her Birmingham-based abode, the 48-year-old videos herself unboxing a parcel which arrived for her covered in 'blood'. "I've just had this box in the post, it's got blood all over it and when I open it, look what was inside," Alison could be heard saying as she filmed the parcel.
She then panned to show what appeared to be a bloodied foot. "There's an actual foot. It's the most grotesque thing I've ever seen," the TV favourite could then be heard saying before she realised it's not as it seems.
"Then I realised it was actually a cake and then I thought, 'Oh, that's actually quite nice because I can eat that from Molly Makes Cakes," Alison said before explaining the box was to advertise the Saw Escape Experience in London - a fully immersive multi-room experience, themed after the blockbuster SAW franchise.
Earlier this month Alison was left 'embarassed' by her behaviour as she appeared on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. Fresh from hosting the BAFTA Film Awards 2023, Alsion was back on our screens on the ITV entertainment show in which she was set-up with a stay at a hotel with spooky goings-on while Ant and Dec hid in another room on the premises, decked out with hidden cameras.
But the prank looked set to end before it even got started as Alison was immediately put off by the venue. In the studio before they aired the prank, Ant and Dec said it was the "closest it's been to it all falling apart." And Alison admitted: "I can remember how I reacted and I'm embarrassed."
Ant and Dec were left panicking when Alison looked miffed and claimed it was haunted as soon as she stepped foot into the hotel. She was then seen in her guest room saying: "A million per cent I'm not staying here."
"If Alison leaves it's over," said Dec. After walking out of the hotel, eventually she was convinced to come back in by a member of her team. "This place is haunted. I feel it," Alison said as she was asked what she was so worried about. But she looked horrified as an urn fell and smashed without explanation.
