ITV This Morning's Alison Hammond grabs a beer as show makes big change

Alison Hammond was quick to get into the Friday spirit as she cracked open a beer during the opening moments of This Morning. The presenter was back fronting the show alongside Dermot O'Leary today (June 17).

Following the usual opening titles, viewers weren't immediately taken to the hosts and instead, the ITV daytime show opened with an outside musical performance from the cast of Bob Marley: The Musical.

After welcoming viewers to the show and thanking their musical guests, Dermot expalined a big change that has been made to the rest of the show.

"We're also going to be enjoying the sunshine with them all morning because we've taken the entire show outside," he said. Replying to Dermot, Alison commented: "It's fantastic because apparently temperatures are expected to rise to above thirty degrees [celsius] in some parts of the UK today."

She then added: "So, we've bought the sofa outside. We've planned the most amazing show outside. This is al fresco. I've got my own coolbox. This is going to be wonderful."

Moments later Alison, 47, and Dermot, 49, were joined on the sofa by two guests, including Gyles Brandreth, to chat about the day's top stories in the 'This Morning's View' segment. After giving out ice lollies and fizzy drinks to her co-stars, Alison added: "And, for me, I've got myself a little Red Stripe," as she picked up the can of larger and began to open it.

Dermot replied: "Ahh, she's started already!" as the group laughed before they moved on to the hottest topic of conversation - the weather. "It's a lovely day, isn't it?" Alison said.

She added: "While we bask in this glorious weather, we wanted to send our thoughts to those people who are experiencing no sunshine. Absolutely none. It's such a shame."
