ITV This Morning launches new segment from Wales as Holly Willoughby returns to show

Holly Willoughby returned to her This Morning presenting duties alongside Josie Gibson for the first time since Phillip Schofield's exit on Monday, June 5. The 61-year-old stepped down from his role on the daytime show on Saturday, May 20 following a rumoured rift with Holly and later quit ITV altogether after revealing he'd had an affair with a younger colleague.

As she opened the show following a two-week break on Monday, an emotional Holly, 42, said she was feeling "shaken, troubled and let down" as she delivered a statement to viewers. You can read her speech in full here.

And while This Morning returned with a new co-host for Holly, it also introduced a brand new series from West Wales. The segment will see Donal Skehan explore the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline, beginning his journey in the coastal town of Newport.

Introducing the first instalment, Holly said: "It's time to join Donal in the first ever brand new series of films exploring the stunning coastline of West Wales."

As ITV showcased a stunning montage of snaps from Newport Pembrokeshire, Donal said: "With spectacular coastlines, breathtaking scenery, and plenty of wildlife, Pembrokeshire on the west coast of Wales is one of the UK's hidden gems. Over the next few weeks, I'll be exploring the beaches, walking the coastal paths, and sharing some of the delicious recipes that will mark the start of summer."

As he appeared on the gorgeous Newport Sands beach, he said: "Today I'm exploring the idyllic coastal town of Newport," before enjoying a paddle in the freezing cold sea.

Later, Donal visited Bluestone microbrewery to try some local beers, the brewery has been a part of the local community for 10 years. After tasting some beers he headed back to where he was staying to cook up a treat on the BBQ to the backdrop of the stunning coastline.

Donal explained to viewers how to make Carne Asada Tacos with guacamole and pineapple salsa. As she show returned to the studio, Holly said to co-host Josie: "Everything about that was lovely, the food, the view, the whole thing, did that make you hungry?"
