ITV This Morning issue Holly Willoughby health update as return date confirmed

Phillip Schofield has issued an update on Holly Willoughby's return to This Morning.

The two usually front ITV's flagship daytime programme from Monday - Thursday. However, Holly has been absent from the show since she contracted coronavirus.

The 41-year-old was also forced pull out of Dancing On Ice since she received a positive test result on March 13. Presenters such as Josie Gibson and Alison Hammond have been drafted in to host the show alongside Phil while she isolates.

Alison filled in for Holly on Tuesday's programme after Phil revealed on yesterday's show that Holly was still receiving a positive test result.

He said: "I've been texting Holly all through the weekend and she's absolutely fine. She just has that incredibly persistent and annoying red line that won't go away.

"She'll be sitting at home. It's driving her crazy."

However, Phil had better news at the start of today's show as he confirmed Holly would return tomorrow after receiving a negative test result.

Alison rejoiced at the announcement and left Phil in hysterics when she started singing Celebrate Good Times.

She added: "Holly, we're so glad you're coming back."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub
