ITV This Morning in Chaos as Guest Swears Live on Air—Ben Shephard Scrambles to Apologize

Ben Shephard was quick to issue an apology to ITV viewers after a series of on-air blunders by the show’s budget travel expert, Chelsea Dickenson, during a live segment on This Morning. Chelsea was reporting from Zakopane, Poland, where she had secured an incredible £250 ski trip. However, things took an unfortunate turn when she experienced a painful fall while demonstrating her skiing skills.

Before taking off down the slope, Chelsea made a lighthearted comment, saying, “My favorite thing is the Polish word for luck, which is fart, so you’ll have to wish me good fart here because I haven’t skied in a long time.” As she prepared to ski, she anxiously asked the presenters, “You ready to do it, guys?” This prompted a surprised reaction from Cat Deeley, who said, “She’s actually going to do it.”

As Chelsea began her descent, she quickly encountered trouble. “I’m falling,” she admitted before letting out a loud scream as she crashed into the snow. With her microphone still live, she seemed to shout, “No, f**k,” repeatedly, leading to a visibly embarrassed Ben Shephard covering his face with his hands, reported the Express.

Lying in the snow and clearly flustered, Chelsea spoke directly to viewers, saying, “Oh my goodness, I didn’t even make it down the slope. I’m already on the floor. Someone save me, back to the studio.”

Ben Shephard, trying to diffuse the situation, explained: “So we’re not one hundred percent sure whether she used the Polish for luck or the word that we have to apologize for.” Acknowledging the slip-up, he quickly withdrew his initial comment and issued a formal apology to the audience, adding: “We will apologize just in case, but we think you were just trying to say luck.”

In an attempt to lighten the mood, Cat Deeley jokingly suggested, “Can someone call in Brad Pitt to pick her up please, just scoop her up.”

Despite the blunders, Chelsea’s mishap was met with laughter and understanding from both the This Morning hosts and viewers. The light-hearted segment added an unexpected moment of humor to the show, with Ben Shephard’s quick apology ensuring the live broadcast continued smoothly.
