ITV This Morning: Holly Willoughby 'evens' to leave show by the end of June

This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby is priced at even odds to leave her position on the show next month. The long-running host, who has been part of the This Morning family since 2009, is currently on leave from the show following the departure of her co-star Phillip Schofield.

ITV announced earlier this month that Schofield would be leaving the show after 21 years following a supposed "feud" with Willoughby, with whom he was once best friends. Following Schofield's exit, fans of This Morning have been wondering whether Willoughby will follow suit, with bookmakers William Hill suggesting that Willoughby stepping down in June is the most likely outcome.

William Hill has offered odds of evens for a departure next month. With suspicion over Willoughby’s position on This Morning growing, she is 6/4 to see out the next month and then leave in July, with an August exit priced at 4/1.

Willoughby is conversely 2/1 to see out the rest of this year and leave any time in 2024. William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps, said: "With Phillip Schofield leaving the show not long ago, we don’t think Holly Willoughby will be too far behind him and we make her evens to leave her post at This Morning in June.

"Willoughby will not be short of options upon leaving the show and it will be up to her as to when she leaves, and we could see her leaving this summer with odds of 6/4 on her to leave in July, and 4/1 for her to say goodbye to the show in August. It is not out of the question that she would want to see out a full final year on This Morning and we make her 2/1 to leave the show any time next year."

During today's episode of This Morning (May 31), presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary told viewers that they had a glimpse of what was to come this summer. A clip featuring a number of ITV stars, including celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo and presenter Craig Doyle, was then shown to viewers, who were quick to notice that Willoughby had no part in the video.

Willoughby's absence from the clip comes just a day after her former colleague and GB News host Eamonn Holmes told Dan Wootton that he does not think Willoughby will return to This Morning. Holmes, who left the ITV magazine show in December 2021, claimed during the explosive interview: "I don't think you will ever see Holly Willoughby back on the couch.

"There are people that say for her it's not about what Phillip did; for her it's not about protecting the young fella involved or whatever. There are people who are financial experts who will say 'This is about brand protection with her; she's got her company and she's got advertising deals, which suspiciously looks like she's trying to distance herself from Phillip to protect those'."
