ITV This Morning fans 'throwing up' as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield left stunned by sex confessions

There's not much that is off limits on This Morning as the latest edition of the show proved. Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were back at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Tuesday (April 26).

They were once again joined by Vanessa Feltz in the London-based studio for her latest phone-in. And it was a bit of a special one for the broadcaster as the show returned to a topic she first spoke about on the programme back in 1992.

It has been 30 years since Vanessa first appeared on the show as a relationship expert. She made her debut alongside then-hosts Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan and discussed keeping the spark alive. So, in tribute to her three-decades This Morning posed the subject once again.

After sharing a clip of Vanessa's first appearance on the show in which she looked 'so different', Vanessa explained: "Anyway what we were talking about was Fergie had been toe-sucking, do you remember that? And we were so inspired by the idea of toe sucking we thought what are the other undiscovered erogenous zones of the body and what do people do that we might not necessarily expect, but we can talk about on the television, to spice up their love life?"

Holly then told viewers: "It's been 30 years since her first phone in on This Morning. And the topic? Unusual things you do in the bedroom to keep the spark alive." Phillip then said: "So that's just what Vanessa is asking today," before Holly added: "We're wondering 30 years later if you're still up for sharing."

Phillip directly addressed the camera and asked: "How do you keep the spark alive?" before giving some suggestions as to what they meant - from 'romantic meals' to 'something saucy in the bedroom?'. He added: "Bearing in mind this was all sort of sparked off by the fact it's 30 years since the very famous pictures of Fergie toe sucking. That's what triggered that phone-in!"

It was later time for the phone-in and the first caller was a lady named Mavis and she soon left Phillip stunned when she revealed how she and her husband of 21 years keep things alive in the bedroom. "Well my husband was absolutely petrified when he first met me because I was a little more experienced," she started by telling the hosts and Vanessa.

"So as time's gone on he's got more confident and now he comes up with new ideas, but the new ideas that we do are a bit... too noisy shall we say," Mavis continued.

Holly and Phillip both looked gobsmacked and asked: "A little bit what?" before commenting "Noisy? Noisy?" at the same time as Phillip asked: "Oh, have you got neighbours?"

"As in loud noises, not odd noises," Mavis clarified as a confused Phillip asked: "What do you do? What are you using?" to which she simply replied: "Well, I excite him!" Vanessa then chimed in and said: "They have tremendously noisy fabulous sex, well that sounds great," as Phillip then remarked: "He's obviously come right out of his shell then!"

Caller Mary then joined the show to talk about embracing her age and the positive things that come with being 76. But she soon took Holly and Phil by surprise when she revealed what the best thing about being old is.

She said: "I like laughing, I like to have a joke. I'm on my own, I sing indoors and the best thing about being on my own and being old is that I don't have to have sex. But I like being old, I can do exactly what I like. I can go to bed when I want to, I can get up in the morning."

She added: "I'm very sorry that I haven't got my husband but we were very light-hearted about this and we used to talk about it before he died." Taken aback, Holly and Phil both shouted "Mary" before laughing

But This Morning viewers were soon taking to social media to discuss the phone-in and not everyone was thrilled by what they had heard.

@Colabubble laughed: "@thismorning #ThisMorning I really think I'm too prudish to listen to these conversations!!"

"It's too early for this #ThisMorning," @MissChloeMarie_ tweeted alongside a sick face emoji.

@Miss_Vix88 commented: "Why would you ring up a programme on tv to tell everyone about your sex life keep it private ffs #ThisMorning."

"Walking into the living room hearing Vanessa Feltz talking about sucking toes is not good for my state of mind #ThisMorning," @benji70 said.

@suzysasha complained: "#ThisMorning @thismorning @ITV @Ofcom. Phone in on keeping the spark alive? And this is meant to be a daytime show? Yet they've the cheek to bleep out swear words. The things you see and hear on this show are ridiculous."

"All the people they’re ringing are still throwing up because of Vanessa’s phone in!! #ThisMorning," @Samanth22356123 added referring to the hosts struggling to get through to someone for the latest game of Spin to Win.
