Fans of This Morning weren't too pleased as Phillip Schofield said he "doesn't want to offend anyone" on the opening of today's show.
Appearing at the helm of the show alongside co-host Holly Willoughby, Phil explained how a segment had to be pre-recorded and reviewed before being aired over fears of causing offence. Holly said: "We did have something... well, quite eye-opening to show."
Phil added: "We're going to show it later because the idea was it was going to be the opening of the show but we've just pre-recorded it because with something like this you've got to be quite careful. We don't want to offend anyone."

He explained that they had a clip showing two naked cyclists on a tandem raising money for charity. However, when watching it back the crew realised that one of them was flashing his manhood.
However, fans of the show thought the worry about offending people had come a bit late. They took to Twitter to complain.
Lisa said: "Feeling it’s slightly late for the ‘we don’t want to offend anybody’ vibe #ThisMorning." Selina said: "You don't want to offend anybody? That's new #ThisMorning." Meanwhile, another user said: "You weren't bothered about offending the rest of the week..."
It comes after the show was branded out of touch after offering to pay energy bills as a Spin To Win prize earlier in the week. The move was branded as tone-deaf "dystopian" "poverty porn" by viewers who couldn't believe the show was bold enough to make such a switch.
Phil took note of the complaints online the following day as he said: "And now for the game everyone's talking about." More changed had been made as he added the household bill prize would also cover up to a year's worth of costs with a maximum of £3,000, more than doubling the initial amount.
