ITV This Morning fans have say on new 'dream team' as Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond team up

This Morning viewers have seen many new hosting duos in the last week alone.

Holly Willoughby spent the start of last week away from the ITV daytime show with Rochelle Humes in her place.

But, Phillip Schofield then tested positive for coronavirus which meant that he was forced off the show and into isolation.

So in the last week fans of the show have seen Rochelle team up with Alison Hammond and Vernon Kay before Holly returned alongside Josie Gibson.

With Phil, 59, still testing positive on day seven of his isolation, his This Morning return has once again been delayed.

So, on Monday, Holly, 40, was back, and this time with Alison.

At the start of the show, Holly and Alison were seen stood in the This Morning studio as Cyndi Lauper track, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, blared out.

As Alison had a little boogie, Holly welcomed viewers to the show before declaring: "Girls just wanna have fun and I'm with the funest one around."

"Aww," Alison, 47, replied. "This was always going to happen, wasn't it Holly?"

"At some point, definitely," Holly replied.

Holly then took to Instagram with a sofa selfie of the pair, commenting to her millions of followers: "There she is… @alisonhammond55."

Alison then also shared her own post as the two women created a reel from the ITV studio which showed the pair getting show ready and throwing a few poses at the camera.

"Loved that!!! Love you," Holyly replied before re-sharing the post to her Instagram Story and commenting: "Been dreaming of being part of an @alisonhammond55 reel."

And it's fair to say fans are happy to see them team-up.

@leggylou_ said: "Watching you 2 beautiful ladies being our all-female Dream Team and loving it so much."

"Alison goes better with Holly! Good match," @gksandford4e2g commented.

And while Phillip may not have been in the studio, he did briefly appear on the show.

Giving an update on his health and isolation, Phil told his fellow ITV stars: "I'm absolutely perfectly ok.

"A week ago I had a slightly scratchy throat for an hour which prompted me to test and it came back positive and it’s been positive ever since.

"But I feel great, I’ve ploughed my way through boxsets. I’ve been cooking, I’ve been wandering around thinking what should I do next.

"I sat in the garden for half an hour because the sun came out."

Holly went on to admit that she nearly sent her dog over to keep Phillip company while he missed Dancing On Ice on Sunday.

She said: "I nearly sent the dog over to your house yesterday because you were alone.

"But then I thought maybe Bailey could get COVID and give it to me."
