Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary didn't hide their excitement as they were joined by Shania Twain on This Morning. The country music legend joined the duo on the ITV daytime show on Friday (September 23).
It was the first time Alison and Dermot have hosted the show in weeks following their summer break and a change to the planned schedule following the Queen's death earlier this month. The hosts last made an appearance on the popular show last week when they joined Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to discuss the days following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
Opening the show, Alison said: "I’m so happy to be back!" before turning to her co-host and saying: "It’s so lovely to see you," before they shared a big hug.

During the show, the duo spoke to singing superstar Shania Twain, Coronation Street stars Mikey North and Millie Gibson, and they even watched Josie Gibson take on the Ninja Warrior course while she also paid a trip to Porthcawl in Wales to meet a load of Elvis fans for this week's competition segment.
But throughout the show, it was all about Shania and a brief snippet of her hit track Man! I Feel Like A Woman kept playing out in the studio in order for Alison to get into the zone and deliver the iconic line, 'Let's go girls!'.
Later in the show it was finally time for the pair to talk to the singer about her new music and much more. And Alison, 47, even donned leopard print in her honour. Appearing on the famous sofa, Shania looked glamourous in a blue and black leopard print all in one suit.
After being introduced by Alison as the "icon who changed country music forever and made us all fall in love with head-to-toe leopard print," Shania spoke about her new single, Waking Up Dreaming, which was released today and her long and illustrious career in showbiz.
But This Morning viewers couldn't help but take to social media to compliment the America beauty's ageless appearance after discovering her age. @RyanJackMum said: "Eh? Shania Twain is 57? #ThisMorning." @HEGATTY68 commented: "She looks incredible three years older than me what the hell I’m not jealous honestly #ThisMorning."

Speaking about her career to Alison and Dermot, Shania said: "I feel like I have lived so many lives already looking back at all of that stuff. I could write volumes around every song I have ever released. When you start talking about performances and videos and I am so involved with everything, every song is its own book."
She also discussed her ongoing health issues after she upsettingly lost her voice. She said: "I am never taking it (the voice) for granted as I don't know how long this procedure will last." She then explained: "I had a weakness from Lyme's Disease to the nerves that attach to the vocal chords.
"So I now have two implants which support the air flow. It may not last forever. I have a different voice but I roll will it. But I can sing, I can yell and I'm just celebrating all of that."
