ITV This Morning fans giggle as Carol Vorderman 'calls out' Gillian McKeith in I'm A Celebrity chat

This Morning viewers couldn't help but laugh as Carol Vorderman brought up an infamous I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here moment during her latest appearance on the show. The former Countdown star was back in the ITV daytime show's studio on Monday (November 7) to discuss the latest from Down Under.

Fans were delighted on Sunday night as Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly returned to screens live from Australia. It has been three years since the Geordie duo and the show's cast and crew have headed to the jungle as coronavirus travel restrictions saw the hit ITV reality show filmed in the UK instead.

During the opening episode of the 2022 series, Love Island's Olivia Attwood, radio DJ Chris Moyles, Loose Women star Charlene White, comedian Babatunde Aleshe, and former England footballer Jill Scott arrived by a luxury car at a waterside villa on the Gold Coast. Meanwhile, arriving one-by-one by boat to a marina was Boy George, rugby player Mike Tindall, Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver, TV presenter and property expert Scarlette Douglas and Hollyoaks’ Owen Warner.

Boy George and Love Island star Olivia Attwood, who were revealed as the public’s vote to become Jungle VIPs, but this was not as luxurious as it first appeared as they later discovered this meant "Very Isolated People". Atfer facing their own challenges - including jumping out of a plane, the Jungle VIPs finally united on an island.

However, it has since been revealed that Olivia has quit the series. A spokesperson said: "As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo medical checks. Unfortunately, the medical team has advised that it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigated. She has been absolutely brilliant and she'll be very much missed on the show."

Prior to the news breaking, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were joined by Carol and fellow former campmate Gillian McKeith on This Morning to chat about the first episode. But viewers ended up laughing when Carol took a swipe at her fellow guest.

Asked what she hated most about her stint in the jungle, Gillian admitted: "Everything! It was horrendous! I was out every single day doing trials!" Carol then quopped: "Then you pretended to faint," recalling one of the most famous I'm A Celeb moments in the show's two-decade history.

But Gillian was quick to protest her innocence and pointed to her history of fainting. "I did not pretend to faint. I have a medical condition. I can’t believe you’re mocking it! That’s terrible – since five years old!" Gillian did, however, joke that 'leaving' the camp was the only redeeming feature of her time on the show.

This Morning viewers were still commenting on social media as they saw the funny side of Carol's comment. @mikepriestley13 tweeted: "Carol Vorderman calling out Gillian for the fake collapse on #ImACeleb on #ThisMorning just now.. brilliant." @TheTVGuyUK wrote: "Carol ain’t taking no s**t about the fainting #ThisMorning." @lulumccoy replied: "Nearly spat me coffee out." @TraylorHolmes added: "Carol Vorderman calling out Gillian McKeith for pretending to faint #ThisMorning #ImACeleb," with a crying laughing emoji.
