ITV This Morning fans concerned after Alison Hammond leaves show

This Morning fans were left concerned when Alison Hammond seemed to go missing from the show on Friday.

The presenters were at the helm of the daytime programme, as they are each Friday, while regular hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield take a break. As ever, they discussed the topics of the day, joined by a range of guests.

During the programme, viewers were informed Alison has won a huge award. The presenter won Host of the Year at the Ethnicity Awards.

Sharing the news, Dermot congratulated his co-star, and said: ""Our Alison won best presenter, journalist, or host... Miss Alison Hammond, everyone. Come on!" The news was met with applause from those in the studio.

Fans at home also rushed to wish Alison well, with many making the same plea. Taking to Twitter, Katherine said: "Well done Allison! You are a great role model to other black women with a talent", while Fay said: "Huge congrats, so proud of you. You make our mornings on This Morning so much better, thank you so much".

Later, however, fans were worried when Dermot hosted a segment by himself. Alison was absent from the cameras, with no explanation, and viewers certainly noticed.

Sarah said: "Where is Alison?????", while Liam said: "Hope Alison's okay, strange how she's come off the show". UKTVForever said: "What happened to Alison?"

Thankfully, she returned around ten minutes later, though there was no explanation as to where she had been.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and the ITV Hub
