This Morning is no longer giving people the chance to win their 'energy bills' paid for on the game Spin To Win, after almost 200 complaints.
The segment caused an uproar with hundreds of viewers taking to social media to express their disgust at the ITV daytime competition - which has resulted in 170 angry people contacting Ofcom - demanding the game is investigated.
A weekly audience report by the broadcasting watchdog confirmed that 170 reports were made in relation to the competition on September 5.
During today's game, the 'energy bills' section vanished from the wheel and replaced with an amount of cash with viewers taking to Twitter, with one saying: "Monday it was energy bills. Tuesday it was household bills. Today it’s cold hard cash. #ThisMorning "
Another wrote: "I love the way they’ve removed the £3,000 as well as the utility bills. I bet Phil suggested having a £50 top prize. #thismorning " with laughing face emojis.
" #ThisMorning see they've dropped the "bills paid" lol When the public speaks lol," tweeted a third.
Presenters Phillip Schofield or Holly Willoughby made no reference to to the complaints, or the fact the prizes had changed.
An Ofcom spokesperson told Daily Star: "We are assessing the complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate."
