ITV The Masked Singer viewers convinced girlband icon is Fawn

The Masked Singer fans have been guessing along with the ITV gameshow which aims to stump the celeb panellists, and they reckon they've worked out who Fawn is. There was a double unmasking on Saturday night's The Masked Singer (February 4) as Knitting, Jellyfish, Otter, Fawn, Jacket Potato, Phoenix and Rhino took to the stage to sing in disguise.

Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and Rita Ora were joined by guest panellist, TV presenter Stephen Mulhern. Following the unmasking of Knitting as Steps singer Claire Richards, Otter was revealed to be award-winning comedy actress Daisy May Cooper.

With Fawn still in the running fans think that another singer, who like Claire also shot to fame in the nineties, is masquerading as the sweet character. Guesses included presenter Cat Deeley and singer Liz McClarnon from Atomic Kitten. "If you've got that right it's not okay Stephen," said Davina jokingly. "You can't just waltz in here ..."

But viewers watching at home think it's a famous face from another band after considering the clues. @Titch_a_mouse tweeted: "Aha! That’s definitely Natalie Appleton as Fawn then."

@angelic_joanne also thinks Fawn is Natalie, who has had a stream of hits with her sister Nicole in the band All Saints. "Fawn could be Natalie Appleton - The Weakest Link board as a clue - she was on the celeb version," they said. @Dazzydoesit34 agreed: "Fawn is Natalie Appleton, she won the weakest link."

@Ben6987 said about the clues: "I keep changing my mind on #fawn but I think she could be one of the Appleton sisters the bowling pin linked to their hit one strike and of course lady marmalade was there too." And @SheBePamella said: "First up Fawn. I'm still thinking one of the Appleton sisters."
