ITV The Games: Coronation Street's Ryan Thomas wows fans with body transformation

Ryan Thomas has thrilled fans as he unveiled his ripped transformation.

The 37-year-old is best known for his portrayal of Jason Grimshaw on Coronation Street. The former soap star is set to compete on ITV's new programme, The Games, which premieres tonight.

The competition will see famous faces trained by some of the UK's top coaches before taking on a host of different challenges. The Games will be hosted by Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff - and Ryan will be joined in the contest by Emmerdale star Rebecca Sarker.

Ryan has completed a gruelling training schedule for the show and he showed off the results in a post shared on Instagram. He said: "The wait is finally over & what a journey it’s been 12 weeks of intense training learning 9 different athletic sports with some of the best coaches in the country.

He added: "With a massive thank you to my pt @michaelevansfitness preparing me mentally & physically for this challenge we worked so hard being dedicated to the routine, diet & determination."

Ryan's followers flooded the comments to praise the ripped look.

The Games starts tonight at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub
