Many people watching The Chase on Tuesday evening were left frustrated by host Bradley Walsh's "embarrassing behaviour".
The game show involves teams of four individually trying to best professional quizzers known as the 'chasers' — but, on Monday, Walsh himself got involved in the competition.
John, an electrical engineer from Kent, was deciding how much money to risk when facing off against chaser Mark Labbett — £3,000, £11,000, or £50,000 — when Walsh got involved.

John decided to go down the middle and bet £11,000, but soon after Walsh launched a bet of his own with Labbett.
"I know what I would've done, all day long — 50 grand," the host said, to which the chaser replied: "Yeah and that's why you'd be out in about two minutes".
Following this, the two decided to wager £10 to see which one would emerge triumphant if Walsh played along with the contestant and attempted to answer each question.
Fans watching at home were left unhappy with how far the host took this bet, however, with many venting their frustrations on Twitter.
One tweeted: "F*****g hell, Brad doesn't even know how the contestant did in the head to head. That was just embarrassing".
"Bradley is either p****d or losing the plot," argued a second.
Another posted: "I wish Brad would stop trying to make the show all about him. It's not about you Brad, just shut up and support the contestants."
"What the f**k is Bradley doing why is he making it all about him", agreed a fourth.
"Bradley making it all about him," a fifth also said.
One angry viewer stated: "Despicable behaviour by Brad Walsh acting the fool there in front of the contestant who is trying to concentrate! These people are playing for money that may in a small way change their lives!"
"Bradley nearly f****d it for John," a sixth shared.
Meanwhile, a seventh frustrated Chase fan said: "Bradley Walsh sure is irritating ffs."
