ITV The Chase's Jenny Ryan clapped back after a Liverpool contestant branded her "smug" on today's show.
Bradley Walsh welcomed four new players on Monday's edition of the popular game show. Claire, Robin, Jackie and Mark were taking on The Vixen in a bid to win a cash prize.
Claire was up in seat 1 - and the English teacher from Liverpool was hoping to put any potential winnings towards treating her mum, Peggy, to a birthday afternoon tea in New York.

The 37-year-old put in an impressive cash-builder and accumulated £6,000. She aimed fire at The Chaser as she revealed she wanted to face off against Jenny.
She said: "I'd quite like to take on The Vixen because I think she's very good, but I sometimes think she's a little bit smug. So I'd quite like to give her a run for her money."
Jenny hit back at the statement and was determined to eliminate Claire from the game.
She said: "Putting on my smuggest impression now. I can see you having tea with Peggy. Peggy put the kettle on she will be home soon."
The remark prompted a gasp from Claire, but she recovered and navigated her way to the Final Chase.
She was joined in the last round by Robin and Mark - and the team were competing for an overall £18,000. The players built up 17 steps, but were caught with 28 seconds remaining - meaning they left empty-handed.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITV Hub
