ITV The Chase's Bradley Walsh's Liverpool message as player ignores Scouser's advice

Bradley Walsh sent a Liverpool message on today's edition of The Chase.

The 62-year-old returned to front Wednesday's episode of the popular ITV game show. He welcomed Elaine, Jenny, Judi and Che on the latest programme as they aimed to win a huge cash prize.

The team were testing their wits against Shaun Wallace and the Dark Destroyer was in superb form throughout the show. Elaine opted for the higher offer of £26,000 after an impressive cash-builder but was swiftly eliminated.

Jenny was next up and Shaun continued his display as he caught her in The Chase. The team fought back as Judi progressed to the last round with £4,000 after a confident performance.

Che was in the final seat and the 27-year-old wanted to win a prize today to treat his Scouse dad to the hospitality experience for a Liverpool FC game. Che's mum was from Spain and this inspired a controversial comment when he was quizzed on his favourite Reds' played.

He said: "I would say Fernando Torres, purely for the Spanish heritage. Which is a bit controversial with the Chelsea move." The player grew up in Newbury and put in a brilliant performance as he earned £5,000 in his cashbuilder.

However, he ignored the advice of his Scouse dad when it came to selecting which offer he was going to take. He said: "My dad would say go £5,000. I'm gonna go £56,000."

Che would prove to regret his decision as he was eliminated by the Shaun. Bradley wished the player well as he exited. He said: "Like your team the table has gone red. Regards to your dad and everyone else in Liverpool."

Judi competed on her own in the Final Chase and built up 14 steps in her bid to win £4,000. However, she left empty handed when she was caught with 29 seconds remaining.
