The Chase's Bradley Walsh was gutted as a team entered the last round £179,000 lighter.
The 62-year-old broadcaster welcomed four new players on Monday's edition of the ITV game show. Matt, Karen, Becky and Jim were testing their wits against Jenny Ryan in a bid to win a cash prize.
Matt in seat one put in a superb showing to answer 10 questions correctly in his cash-builder. The Vixen offered a higher amount of £50,000 and Bradley was in disbelief when the team suggested he take the £10,000 he had accumulated in the first round.

Bradley blasted the team's advice as "hopeless" before Matt successfully outran the Chase. The host admitted he was "disappointed" as Matt returned to the podium £40,000 lighter.
Karen in seat two put in a similarly impressive performance and built up £4,000 in her cash-builder. Jenny offered £50,000 again, but the 55-year-old took the middle offer before she booked her spot in the final round.
Bradley was distraught when he realised the team could have been in the final round with £86,000 more and The Chaser said the host was "gutted". Becky and Jim joined the team in the final round as they were competing for £21,000.
However, the two players also had the option to take £50,000 - and stretched the game in the head-to-head, which meant the team could have potentially been playing for an overall £200,000. The team built up 19 steps in the final round, but Jenny put in a dominant showing and caught them 17 seconds remaining.
Bradley praised the team's performance at the end of episode before he admitted he was slightly relieved by the outcome. He said: "Put it like this. At least we weren't playing for £200,000."
