ITV The Chase's Bradley Walsh confused by 'Harry Potter sounding' Liverpool area

Bradley Walsh was confused by an area of Liverpool on today's edition of The Chase.

The 61-year-old presenter welcomed four new quizzers on Monday's episode of the popular game show. Claire, Robin, Jackie and Mark tested their wits against Jenny Ryan in a bid to win a cash prize.

Claire was up in seat 1 and Bradley was baffled when she revealed she was a teacher at Deyes High School in Maghull.

He shot back: "Muggle? Is that a place?"

Claire joked: "Unfortunately, it's not in Harry Potter."

Bradley said: "I was gonna say. It does sounds like something from Harry Potter, doesn't it."

The host probed what Claire would do with any potential winnings and the English teacher from Liverpool hoped to use the money to treat her mum, Peggy, to a birthday afternoon tea in New York.

The 37-year-old put in an impressive cash-builder and accumulated £6,000 before she aimed a cheeky jibe at The Chaser as she revealed she wanted to face off against Jenny.

She said: "I'd quite like to take on The Vixen because I think she's very good, but I sometimes think she's a little bit smug. So I'd quite like to give her a run for her money."

Claire navigated her way past The Vixen and was joined in the last round by Robin and Mark. The team were competing for an overall £18,000 and built up 17 steps, but were caught with 28 seconds remaining.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITV Hub
