ITV The Chase's Bradley Walsh baffled by Shaun Wallace's 'new career'

Bradley Walsh was baffled as Shaun Wallace auditioned for his new career on The Chase.

The 62-year-old host welcomed four new quizzers on Friday's edition of the ITV show. Sharlene, Anjelica, Eric and John were testing their wits against The Dark Destroyer in a bid to win a cash prize.

Sharlene was first up and the 48-year-old earned £5,000 in an impressive cashbuilder. The business process analyst heaped praise on Shaun as she revealed why she hopes he will be the Chaser she goes up against.

She said: "I think he's got a lovely tone of voice and he should be reading Cbeebies bedtime stories."

Bradley was baffled as Shaun played up to his expectation by adopting a deeper voice. He said: "Oh don't start all that. You did that deliberately."

Sharlene continued her impressive display to book her place in the Final Chase. She was joined in the last round by John as they were competing for a combined total of £12,000.

The team built up 12 steps and were caught with 32 seconds remaining.
