ITV The Chase player leaves Bradley Walsh speechless with his performance

The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh was left gobsmacked at a player during the show on Tuesday, February 15.

During the episode, it was down to Amy, John, Claire and Stephen to work together in a bid to take down The Beast.

Shortly after the instalment started, Electrical engineer John was up and impressed in the quickfire round with Bradley calling his performance "spectacular".

The 56-year-old from Kent stormed through the first set of questions and managed to secure a "full house" after answering 11 correctly.

"The show's over," Bradley exclaimed as he threw his hands up in the air, before telling the contestant: "I can't remember the last time that has happened."

"What's that?" John asked, questioning what exactly had happened, as Bradley replied: "Full house, £11,000, that is spectacular."

ITV viewers watching at home were equally impressed and even called for John to be a permanent addition to the show, reports The Mirror.

"John should apply for #BeatTheChasers now! #TheChase," one wrote on Twitter, whilst a second wondered out loud: "How long until they bring John in as the seventh chaser? #TheChase."

Others congratulated the player, with one writing: "@ITVChase #TheChase This guy John is amazing. £11,000 on his cash builder."

While another added: "A crucial player is back. John will definitely be the difference for the final #TheChase."
