ITV The Chase fans 'switch off' after player gets question right

Many The Chase fans were left unimpressed during Friday's episode of the popular quiz show.

ITV once again broadcast a new episode, as host Bradley Walsh welcomed four contestants to the studio. Martin from Rotherham, Cathy from Cheshire, Nadine from South London, Eric from Haverfordwest, teamed up in the bid of taking home big money.

They were pitting their wits against Darragh Ennis, aka The Menace.

But things did not get off to a good start, with Martin being caught by the Chaser. Cathy was up next, and was met with a similar fate.

Nadine managed to answer four questions correctly in her cash builder round. However, given half of their team had been eliminated, she played it safe and took the low offer of £1,000.

After admitting to guessing a few correct answers, she was asked which social media app commissioned its first musical in 2022.

She gave the right answer, TikTok, and made it back to the table with £1,000. But fans were not happy, with some saying they were turning over.

Taking to Twitter, Jack said: "This is the worst episode I've seen in ages", while Triple 6 said: "£1,000? What's the point?" Lenzo said: "This is more painful to watch than England in a penalty shootout".

Merseymale said: "Boring episode tonight", and Dan said: "Bigger prize money on Pointless, waste of time". Jessica said: "Switched over, can't watch any more #TheChase".

ITV has been approached for comment.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITVX
