ITV The Chase fans in stitches over 'best question ever'

The Chase fans were left giggling during Thursday's episode when Bradley Walsh was unable to speak due to laughing so much.

The 62-year-old once again welcomed four new players on this week's penultimate edition of the popular ITV programme. Eve, Charles, Lara and Malcolm were testing their wits against one of Britain's biggest brains in a bid to win big money.

Eve was first up to face The Governess. She had a decent cash builder round, answering five questions correctly, but sadly she was caught by Anne Hegerty and went home empty-handed.

Charles also answered five questions right in his first round. But it was a question Bradley asked him in his second round that had viewers talking.

Bradley said: "Which of these is not a genuine species of starfish?" The possible answers were a goose foot starfish, a red-knobbed starfish, or a chocolate starfish.

The third answer had Bradley in stitches. The host couldn't contain himself as he erupted in fits of laughter and threw his head onto the score board to hide his face.

Charles answered "C", and he was correct. Bradley said: "Oh goodness, chocolate starfish you've put. And rightly so".

Fans watching at home were clearly tickled, too. Taking to Twitter, Bishop Paul said: "Best question ever". Andrew said: "Bradley Walsh being tickled on #thechase will never not be funny".

Carrolls Clobber said: "This show is unrivalled", while Paolo McGinley said: "Kudos to the question writers", while Dave said: "Small children all around the country are asking why that's so funny". Louise said: "CHOCOLATE STARFISH, I can’t breathe. And neither can Bradley"

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
