ITV The Chase fans impressed by the Vixen as entire team wiped out before final

Viewers of The Chase were left feeling both shock and awe at the chaser's top form on tonight's episode. The Chase host, Bradley Walsh was left in shock when his team - Steve, 36, Shivani, 25, Andy, 43, and Joyce, 61 - all failed to make it to the final chase against Jenny, also known as The Vixen.

Rules of the show state that when the whole team is knocked out before the final chase, one member can return in a last-ditch attempt to take home £1,000 each. With £4,000 at stake, the pressure was on Steve's shoulders to help win the prize for the team against Jenny.

Fans were very impressed with The Vixen's form, as she chased down each contestant. Feeling brave, Andy opted to go for the higher offer of £35,000 in an attempt to claw back some cash but was swiftly seen to as Jenny knocked him out in just three questions.

@Sallyroberts praised The Vixen, adding "I have to say she's on blistering form though #TheChase ". While @Boppity_Boo34 said: "Jenny is on fire today #TheChase."

First player Steve was chosen to return to fight on the team's behalf and he took on the final cash builder round solo. It was a difficult set of questions, but Steve managed an impressive 16 correct answers.

@tommyboyraver said: "Better than I thought he'd do!" While @Basweld1 said: "Fair play to the guy... #TheChase "

@LukeHayesII1 clocked Steve's impressive final round, saying: "16 as a single player... more than 3 or rarely even 4 people in a team get #TheChase "

Unluckily, the Chaser was victorious and snatched the glory in the final few seconds with Steve losing out on the cash. Bradley gasped: “That was a lot closer than we thought! Seven attempts to push back, one executed. The other six were rotten though! You should be very proud of yourself. Brilliant stuff!”
