ITV The Chase contestant gets name of iconic Scottish song wrong leaving viewers fuming

Many viewers watching Wednesday evening's episode of The Chase were left furious when a contestant mixed up the name of an iconic Scottish song.

Mark, a police constable from Manchester, was facing off against chaser Paul Sinha to take back £4,000 to the rest of the team.

He slipped up on the very first question, however, and it's one many Scots would have known the answer to.

Host Bradley Walsh asked: "'2000 miles' was an '80s hit for which band?"

The three options were The Pretenders, The Proclaimers, and Partners in Kryme.

Mark incorrectly guessed The Proclaimers, mixing the answer up with their classic 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)'.

The contestant eventually lost against Sinha and was booted from the game show, but viewers were more concerned that he got the name of the song wrong — and took to Twitter to vent their frustrations.
