ITV's Tipping Point viewers threaten to 'switch off' over contestant's 'frustrating' habit

Tipping Point viewers were left so 'frustrated' by a contestant's habit during the show on Tuesday that they threatened to "switch off".

During ITV daytime quiz show, hosted by Ben Shephard, contestant Diane was one of the hopefuls aiming to win big and scoop the £10,000 jackpot. She made it through to the final two alongside fellow contestant Ben.

But fans were quick to notice that she released her counter at unusual moments, leaving many commenting on her release timing on the show, the Mirror reported.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "If Diane gets to the final round with that crazy timing I'm switching off." Another added: "God Diane's timing gives me anxiety" as a third wrote: "Her timing is going to give me an aneurysm."

A fellow fan said: "Diane got me screaming at the tele!" as another viewer posted: "Her timing is bloody awful." While another fan tweeted: "Diane is frustrating me massively!!"

Diane amassed £1,300 while Ben clinched £2,450, meaning she was knocked out in the penultimate round.

It comes after a hilarious viral video captured the moment a packed pub erupted into joyous celebration as a contestant won big on Tipping Point. Every drinker in the Hatfield House Bar was engrossed in the ITV game show, on the edge of their seats as a player named John was on the verge of winning £10,000.

TikTok user Danny McElvanna managed to capture some footage of the scene, just as John secured the win and the whole pub exploded - with cheering from every corner. Host Ben Shephard was left in stitches when he was shown the clip on Good Morning Britain, saying: "I got sent that yesterday from Danny's TikTok account and I'm not on TikTok and someone said, 'Ben have you watched this?'

"I think it's a pub called the Hatfield in Belfast and all the students get together, I think they watch Tipping Point and then they watch The Chase and they have a big event. But then what better way to celebrate a jackpot than with a pint? I think we need to go there for a pint!"

In the clip, punters in the pub in Belfast, Ireland, felt the tension as contestant John answered questions to earn counters, which were then placed into the giant coin pusher. In scenes resembling the Hyde Park celebration when England scored a goal in the World Cup, people can be seen jumping in the air, cheering, as drinks struggle to stay in their glasses.

Danny's video has been viewed over 485,000 times and had over a thousand comments, mostly from people blown away by the footage.
