This Morning has been swamped by over 100 Ofcom complaints over an 'anti-vax' segment.
The ITV daytime show was fronted by Rochelle Humes and Vernon Kay, who were stepping in for absent Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that day, as they aired a chat with an unvaccinated care worker.
NHS care worker Louise Akester broke down in tears as she appeared on the show to discuss being fired for not having her Covid vaccine. She teared up as she was asked by the hosts if she'd ever take her job back.
The show has now been subjected to 101 complaints to regulator Ofcom over the chat, with many at the time claiming the show did not offer the views of a medical professional in response to Ms Akester's comments.
Ms Akester appeared on the show, just hours after the Health Secretary Sajid Javid made a u-turn over the government's decision to insist all NHS workers must be vaccinated against coronavirus.
"I believe it is no longer proportionate to require vaccination as a condition of employment through statute," he said in the House of Commons that week, "So today, I am announcing we will launch a consultation on ending vaccination as a condition of deployment in health and all social care settings. Subject to the responses, and the will of this House, the government will revoke the regulations."
During the chat with Ms Akester, Vernon and Rochelle asked if she would accept her job back if she was offered it.
As she broke down in tears, she replied: "Now I kind of feel like I was just a number. It hurts.
"When I was there, I was getting all the praise and all the thanks. I felt good because I was there, I was helping. I was doing my bit. After they said to me, they didn't want to lose me, I was one of the best workers. All the residents absolutely love you."
She went on to claim she was invited back to visit - but when she tried to, she wasn't allowed.
"They said, don't be a stranger, come visit. Because you still visit if you aren't vaccinated, just not work there," she added, "But then when I did go and try and visit, they wouldn't let me in."
