The Chase made a huge change in the middle of tonight's episode as it 'replaced' a player's name.
Host Bradley Walsh welcomed on four new contestants to the ITV quiz show as they went head to head with chaser, Anne Hegerty. Adrian, Laura, Dan and Mary all had hopes of going home with a share of a cash prize.
However, Adrian, a sheep and cattle farmer from Cornwall, wasn't known by his actual name for most of the show. Not long into the episode the player noticed an update to his nameplate.

It had been changed from Adrian to 'Beef'. The name swap came after Bradley made a joke about the contestant as Adrian gave his opinion on what the second player should do in regards to Anne's offer.
Bradley randomly said: "I'm going to change your nice Adrian to Beef. You need to be called Beef."
Adrian said: "Beef? Why's that?" Brad replied: "I don't know. You just look like beef... you look like beef."
The player said: "I am Beef. British beef." Bradley added: "From henceforth you are known as Beef.... whatever your last name is."
As Laura was playing Bradley pointed out the nameplate update. He said: "Look, they've changed his name You're now Beef, Adrian." The player peeked over the panel and had a look for himself before bursting out laughing.
Bradley went on to refer to the player as Beef for the rest of the episode.
