ITV's No Return viewers have major gripe with channel as Sheridan Smith drama ends

No Return comes to an end on ITV on Monday night and, while many viewers have been kept on the edges of their seats by the Sheridan Smith drama, others have a big gripe with the channel.

And their issue is the fact that, despite No Return starting nearly a month ago, the trailer for it, which sees Sheridan's character Kathy ask to sing All About The Bass on the hotel karaoke, is still on heavy rotation every day on ITV.

The teaser sees Kathy's family's all inclusive holiday is plunged into hell, when her son Noah is arrested and flung behind bars after being accused of sexually assaulting another teenager.

The advert, which is set to the sounds of Lewis Capaldi's huge number 1 Someone You Loved, has been advertising the fact that all four episodes of No Return have been available to watch on ITVHub since the series made its debut on February 7.

But now some viewers are claiming enough is enough and are pleading with ITV not to show the teaser anywhere near as much.

Right before the final episode, one took to Twitter to rant: "If I hear that #NoReturn trailer once more @ITV," using a GIF of an unimpressed Maggie Smith in Downton Abbey to illustrate their point.

Even more annoyed at seeing and hearing the trailer, a second tweeted: " @ITV all for advertising but I've now seen the trailer for No Return 82, yes eighty two, times!! I don't even want to watch it now as you've forced it upon me so much."

Another critic posted: "Honestly @itv why plague us to death with the same bloody trailer for a new drama currently #noreturn if I hear her say all about the bass, one more time I’ll probably kick my tv in."

With No Return being a mini series and the story all wrapped up by the end of the final episode, it's unlikely that it will be back for a second run.
