The Prime Minister is set to make an announcement later today where Boris Johnson is expected to deliver his resignation after more than 50 MPs have handed in their letters of resignation. A number 10 spokesperson said the public can expect the Prime Ministers' resignation by lunchtime.

It is not known how long ITV will move away from their regular programming as no warning was given to Lorraine or the viewers before the show was pulled.
