ITV's Lorraine Kelly supported by Emmerdale star as she issues appearance plea

Lorraine Kelly was supported as she issued an important plea.

The Scottish presenter returned to front this week's final edition of her self-titled chat show. The 63-year-old host was joined by writer, Anna Murphy, to discuss her book, Destination Fabulous.

The two addressed concerns that the beauty industry and use of TikTok filters makes women think there is a problem with ageing naturally. Anna issued advice for natural ways people can care for their skin without having filler and toxins injected.

Lorraine shared a clip from an interview with Hollywood icon, Jamie Lee Curtis, who slammed anti ageing products. The Halloween star said: "I have been an advocate for natural beauty for so long."

Lorraine vowed at the end of the segment she was going to implement some of Anna's tips as she echoed the importance of how ageing naturally allows people "to love ourselves for who we are".

She said: "There's so much information in this book which is absolutely vital. Not just for women my age, but also much younger women. Just to say for goodness sake, don't listen to all that."

Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy Dingle in Emmerale, took to Twitter to praise the segment. She said: "Absolutely…..utterly…..wonderfully…………fantastic @lorraine @reallorraine

“Are you happy to age naturally” living your best life….just LOVE this!!! Do whatever works best for YOU…. #lorraine anti-ageing “we are all going to FU@@@@G age” thanks @jamieleecurtis"
