Lorraine Kelly has blasted the ongoing Wagatha Christie' libel trial and said it should never have went to court.
The Scots presenter is never one to hold back on her thoughts and was speaking out on the "ridiculous" head-to-head between Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney at London's High Court.
And the telly star rushed to the defence of Peter Andre, who has become embroiled in the drama, and said she "feels sorry" for him.
The Mysterious Girl singer's name was mentioned in the messy court case this week as Vardy took to the stand and admitted that she regretted describing his penis as a “ miniature chipolata ” during a 2004 kiss-and-tell with the News of the World.
The 40-year-old said that she “deeply regrets” the interview and was coerced into speaking to the tabloid against her will by her ex-husband, an allegation the ex-husband has previously denied.
And Lorraine slammed the whole situation on her ITV show today.
After running a VT of Peter talking on social media, Lorraine said: "Peter Andre there talking about all of those comments Rebekah Vardy made about his manhood during the ridiculous Wagatha Christie trial, and you know what?
"I feel really sorry for Peter and let's be honest, we've all sniggered haven't we? We've all read it and went hehe and all of that and we shouldn't as it's not fair."
She added: "The whole thing should never have gone to court in the first place it's just ridiculous!"
Peter took to social media yesterday to say Rebekah's jibes have taunted him for years and he even apologised to his wife Emily for the past being dragged up.
He said: "Hi everyone. Seeing as I haven't had much of a say in this, and just let everyone have a laugh and whatever, I'm just going to put it out.
"I took it for 15 years. 15 years this has been going on and I kept quiet and I didn't say anything, and I let everyone have their laugh and I let everyone say what they wanted to say."
Speaking about what's going on in court, he added: "Now, she's gone to court and admitted that the story was made up, and she did that because her ex-husband forced her to do it.
"Fair enough, but, put that all aside, and just think how it feels that if a man - or if I had said this - about her anatomy, or a man had said something about a woman's anatomy, and made up something - you can use your imagination of saying something very unflattering - there would be outrage."
Pete, who looked deflated in the footage, added: "But, because it's been said about me, it's been the butt of all jokes, I've took it for 15 years, some of you are going to say, 'Oh get over it' or 'whatever'.
"You've got to understand, what's even worse is it's brought up in a High Court, and the lawyer is bringing it up - having a go at her for bringing up something in the News of the World that went to four million people - and then it's brought up in court, that goes to a lot more than four million people, and it's brought up again. The only one that sits there and takes hit after hit about it is me.
"I'll be laughing about it for a while, but, think about how it would feel if it was the other way around, that's all I'm saying,"
