Lorraine Kelly has taken a swipe at the Prime Minister after the drama that has unfolded in the last 24 hours.
The Scots TV presenter often shares her thoughts online and today was no different as she made her feelings clear about the furore surrounding Boris Johnson, saying that surely it was time for him to call it a day at No 10.
She once again made a comment about Mr Johnson's flailing leadership, following the resignations of multiple Conservative MPs from their positions last night and this morning.
On her ITV show, Lorraine likened it to a "soap opera".
Johnson is battling to remain in Downing Street as his handling of the row over scandal-hit former deputy chief whip Chris Pincher became the latest issue to raise questions over his judgment.
A humiliating apology from the Prime Minister was unable to prevent the departure of Rishi Sunak and Sajid Javid yesterday, with both writing incendiary resignation letters. Laura Trott and Will Quince also quit which opened the doors to a long line who followed.
The resignations mean Johnson's position is now perilous, but Cabinet ministers including Dominic Raab, Liz Truss, Michael Gove, Therese Coffey and Ben Wallace have indicated they would be staying in the Government.
Speaking to Ed and Susanna, Lorraine was in disbelief as she said: "Morning, it's like being in a soap opera. It just seems to never end."
As she confirmed what else would be on the show, she added: "Obviously, we'll be following any more resignations and indeed what is happening in Parliament. You couldn't make it up, could you? See you later!"
On her Twitter, she also had a pop at the PM. Saying: "Surely it’s all over for Boris Johnson."
And many took to the comments to have their say.
One fan said: "I wouldn't bet on it, like water off a ducks back. Fill the vacancies and keep smiling."
Another added: "He'll be the last one in that place and still won't resign."
Whilst another wrote: "Not sure, he has more lives than a cat!"
It's no doubt that Boris wont even see Lorraine's tweet, considering back in May he claimed not to know who she was.
Scots TV veteran Lorraine has been hosting her own UK wide show since 2010 on ITV and been on our screens since 1983.
However, despite her household status and much publicised life, Boris Johnson appeared bewildered at the mention of her name during one TV appearance.
The Prime Minister was sitting down for his first interview with Good Morning Britain in five years with presenter Susanna Reid.
After being grilled over lockdown parties, the cost of living crisis and Ukraine, Susanna tried to hand over to Lorraine Kelly, whose show is on after GMB.
She said: "Lorraine is waiting to take up all the issues that you have brought up in this interview."
Boris appeared flummoxed as he asked: ‘Who’s Lorraine?’
Susanna laughed when he said it and said Lorraine was a ‘legend’ as Boris mumbled: "Oh fantastic, I can’t wait to talk to Lorraine."
Lorraine who simply said at the time: "Oh wow," added: "I honestly thought Boris Johnson thought we were going to dive in and interview him there. No, we are doing alpacas instead. That's what we are doing."
