Lorraine Kelly - and her viewers - were surprised as Avril Lavigne made a rare television appearance.
The noughties singer, known for her hit tracks Sk8er Boi and Complicated, joined Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show on Thursday.
Avril, from Canada, chatted to the Scottish TV host from her home in California.
It comes ahead of the release of her seventh studio album, Love Sux, three years on from her last release.

The original Pop-Punk Princess, also explained how her new boyfriend helped inspire her latest music, as well as what it’s like working together.
She also opened up about how she has inspired the likes of current chart-toppers Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo.
But Lorraine wasted no time in mentioning Avril's age.
"Can I just say, you look exactly the same as you did when you first started out," the presenter laughed.
A photo of Avril from back in her early career popped up on-screen with Lorraine adding: "Look at that, you still look like a child.
"It's fantastic," she added. "I don't know what you're doing but whatever you're doing it is absolutely working.!
Avril laughed and added a quick 'thank you' before Lorraine carried on with her questions.
The host later added: "I can’t believe you're 37 it’s ridiculous."
And viewers appeared to agree.
@northernlawd tweeted: "Avril Lavigne hasn’t aged a day! She’s obviously immortal. #Lorraine."
"That is not a 37-year-old woman. The conspiracy theory is completely true. I’m sold. AVRIL was replaced. #lorraine," @HeidiLouise_ added.
@cottrell_d said: "So good to see Avril Lavigne again, she doesn't appear to have changed at all."
Lorraine also brought it back up at the end of the interview.
Before thanking her guest, she commented: "Avril, fantastic to talk to you. You still look like that 17-year-old."
However, the interview was slightly overshadowed as viewers blasted the show for its 'awkward' change.
Lorraine kicked off her show by discussing what was coming up, including an interview with Katie Price ahead of her new documentary with son Harvey, and her chat with Avril.
First, however, the 62-year-old presenter spoke to viewers about news from overnight that Russian President Vladimir Putin launched military operations in Ukraine and was joined by Good Morning Briain's chief correspondent Richard Gaisford live from the Ukrainian capital.
But as she carried on with her show as normal, some viewers said they were switching off.
