Lorraine Kelly has publicly responded to 'cruel' insult she received from an ITV viewer on Twitter, with a defiant but dignified reply to their jibe about her appearance on her daily show.
A constant presence on British TV for decades now, Lorraine had to suddenly leave the studio last week after being struck down by a nasty bug on Wednesday, February 22, explaining to viewers that she'd been left 'gutted' at having to maskew a swift exit, having been really looking forward to interviewing celebrity guest Adam Lambert.
Lorraine ended up being missing in action for the remainder of the week after taking a hasty leave of absence, with GMB anchor and regular Lorraine stand-in host, Ranvir Singh doing the honours after being drafted in at the last minute.

Lorraine was happy to report she was feeling 'much better' when she returned to hosting duties on Monday of this week, however, she became the victim of a criel online comment after Tuesday's episode, when one Twitter user watching the show, a woman called Cathy, headed online to post: "I really think Lorraine needs a makeover hair is awful I’m surprised no one has mentioned this time for a short cut Lorraine."
Lorraine was quick to respond, replying before heading on sert to host Wednesday's show, to write: "Well good morning Cathy - only problem - when I have short hair I look like Wilson from “Castaway “ (if you know you know)"
Lorraine's response got a big reaction from her fans, with one taking aim at Cathy's insult and commenting: "Cathy!! Us women are supposed to support each other," with a second, taking a similar stance, reacting: "Goodness me, Lorraine. You always look fabulous to me. Why do some people think that they can say such rude, personal things? You go gal!"
