Lorraine Kelly was forced to apologise to the many viewers of her daytime show when it went off air for close to 20 seconds, leaving them all looking at a black screen.
After being introduced by Good Morning Britain hosts and ITV colleagues, Susanna Reid and Robert Rinder, Lorraine kicked off her show with a live video interview with a friend of the Ukranian president, before being joined in the studio by culinary legend Delia Smith.
Delia, owner of Norwich City FC, joined Lorraine in the studio to talk about her career and her new book You Matter.

Kicking off the interview, Lorraine told the famous TV chef: "Delia, if ever we needed your wisdom it's right now.
"I'm sure when you'd written it you didn't realise it would be coming out at this time, when we're in dire need of it."
All began rather smoothly as Delia explained her inspiration for the book, but then as the now 80-year-old said she wanted people to "recognise the depth they have," the visual and audio cut out, leaving those watching at home with a black screen, with only a tiny ITV logo in the top right hand corner.
The show fell off air for around 20 seconds, but neither Lorraine or Delia appeared to be aware of the technical glitch as, when both picture and sound returned, Delia was mid-conversation and Lorraine too seemed completely unaware of what had gone wrong.
The rest of the five minute interview passed without anything untoward happening but, as she cut to an advertising break, Lorraine still didn't acknowledge what had happened.
It wasn't until she teased a new ITV show from Kate Garraway after the ads that Lorraine apologised, saying: "Now, I should tell you, when we were talking to Delia - wasn't that a brilliant conversation - you lost us.
"I think you all lost us for about 10 seconds, we all went to black. Slight technical problem, all sorted now."
