Lorraine Kelly was forced to admit on TV that she was still a bit worse for wear after a 'heavy weekend'. The presenter was back fronting her self-titled ITV show on Monday morning (September 26), which, like always, featured a preview appearance on Good Morning Britain.
Every day Lorraine checks in with the hosts of the ITV news programme, which today was Ed Balls and Susanna Reid. As she teased what was to come on her show, she said: "Harry Hill... I'm going to be teaming up with him for a very interesting product..." She quickly corrected herself, adding: "Project, even."
Trying to get away from her error, she said: "So I'll see you at 9 o'clock." But an intrigued, Ed asked: "What is this product?" Lorraine started to laugh and replied: "It's a project, not a product."

She then apologised explaining the reason behind her momentary mistake. "I'm sorry. I've had a very heavy weekend and I apologise, profusely." But Ed then asked what she had been up to to which she replied: "Honestly, a young man like you doesn't want to know. You'd be shocked."
Later, as she returned for the first of her five shows of the week, she was joined by Dr Amir Khan who wasted no time in suggesting Lorraine looked tired. "I may or may not have been partying all weekend," she admitted. Dr Amir continued to press the Scottish TV star for details.
"My lovely Rosie threw us a totally surprise anniversary party," she said. "So many people were there and I had absolutely no idea. It was lovely with all the attention to detail. She had flowers that were used from my bouquet 30 years ago. It was so lovely." Dr Amir replied: “How gorgeous. Are you a little bit hungover then Lorraine? There’s a glass of wine in each one of those photos," referring to the images appearing on screen from the bash.
Laughing, she replied: "Yes and it wasn’t the same one, I have to say. It went on. We had the lovely John Kelly – no relation, but he kind of is like my brother – and he threw us another party yesterday. Because you know when you have a party and you have tons of booze left, so you don't know what to do? Then, you have another one. It was great. Really good.”
She then asked: "But hangover, tips, what would you say? I usually have a big sausage and an Irn-Bru – other soft drinks are available," before cracking on with the rest of the segment.
Taking to Instagram, Lorraine shared a photo of herself alongside the band which had been booked to entertain the guests at the soiree. "THE MOST AMAZING SURPRISE!!!" she wrote as she posed in the middle of the kilt-wearing musicians. "Thank you my beautiful @rosiekellysmith and what a brilliant band!!! The best ever."
She was resharing Whiskey Kiss' post which said: "Fantastic ceilidh at a surprise party for TV superstar @lorrainekellysmith. Congrats Lorraine & Steve, thanks for having us & @rosiekellysmith absolutely unbelievable job you did keeping it secret."
Lorraine has been married to hubby Steve since 1992 after the pair met when he worked as her cameraman on TV-am. And she has previously shared how she knew right away he was 'The One'.
