ITV's Lorraine Kelly absent from show for third day as Ranvir Singh confirms when she will return

Lorraine Kelly was noticeably absent again from her morning show on Friday, as colleague Ranvir Singh was forced to step into the hot seat once more.

The Scots star announced on Wednesday that she was "beyond disappointed" to be missing out on her chat with Adam Lambert as she was forced to call in sick due to a "hideous bug" she had developed.

There has been no activity on her Twitter account since she announced the news earlier this week, however Lorraine has still been liking the odd Twitter post, including one from a fan who reached out to say: "I miss you Lorraine on TV, I wish you were better."

It has sparked viewers of the ITV show to question what is really wrong with the iconic Scots presenter, particularly with her radio silence.

But some fans were starting to get annoyed with Ranvir Singh having to step up and be expected to fill in for the presenter of her own show.

One person wrote: "Lorraine Kelly off work AGAIN! She’s had a 2 day week off the back of a half term (which she doesn’t need to have since her own kids are grown up and in their 20s). Once again the long-suffering Ranvir is presenting Lorraine’s show for her. This is getting a joke. #Lorraine"

Someone else added: "Lorraine Kelly not presenting her own show AGAIN!?!!!! Come on darlin for Christ sake, you can’t keep leaving the long-suffering Ranvir to present your own show. She had a nice half-term off last week and wants the fun to continue! Pack this in you lazy cow #Lorraine #Diarrhoea"

Ranvir Singh confirmed Lorraine will be returning to our screens on Monday and at the end of the show, she told her colleague to get plenty rest.
