ITV's Lingo viewers spot Big Brother star on daytime game show

ITV's Lingo fans were shocked to see a well-known face competing as a contestant on the hit daytime TV show.

The quiz show - which made a revival in 2021 after more than 30 years - sees contestants guess the words on screen in the hope of winning a cash prize and is hosted by actor and TV presenter Adil Ray.

On Tuesday, January 18, a former Big Brother star was spotted making an appearance on the ITV game show.

Big Brother star Ashleigh Coyle - who was runner up on the 2014 series of the reality show to Helen Wood - was part of three pairs competing on Lingo.

The 26-year-old from Derry was on the show with her mum Mary but sadly they didn't make it through to the final round.

Fans were shocked to see the Big Brother contestant taking part in the daytime show and took to Twitter to ask if anyone else had recognised the star.

"Ashleigh from #BigBrother now on #lingo blast from the past" Michelle posted.

"Is that Ashleigh from big brother 15?? #lingo" Natalie Dickinson asked.

Tom Bennett added: "Wasn't she in big brother? ? #Lingo #Ashleigh"

"Ashleigh from BB15 is currently on Lingo on ITV #bbuk #lingo" another twitter user added.

Jazzi tweeted: "Are my eyes deceiving me or is that Ashleigh from BB Power Trip on Lingo?? #BBUK #Lingo"

Lingo airs weekdays on ITV and ITV Hub from 3pm.
