ITV's Holly Willoughby was left in tears after an announcement by a co-star. She appeared on the final ever episode of Celebrity Juice on Thursday (December 8).
The mum-of-three was one of the original team captains for the comedy show and appeared on it until 2020. She reprised her role on the show for the Happy Ending episode, starring alongside host Keith Lemon and Fearne Cotton, reports The Liverpool Echo.
The final episode also featured current team captains Emily Atack and Laura Whitmore. Following the show, Keith Lemon took to Instagram to issue a thank you to the fans.
He wrote: "Fanks. The end! Goodnight, lotsa love x" The post was shared by Holly to her Instagram followers along with a tearful emoji.
The ITV presenter returned to front the organisation's flagship daytime This Morning show, and revealed during Friday's show that the show would be her final one for the year as she goes on her well-deserved Christmas break.
She said: "Morning Friday!!!! Last day of term for us today… lots of fun and Christmas chaos… also joined by the @englishnationalopera who will be singing us through the morning… they need your help!!! Will explain more, so important we protect the arts!!!"
Fans flooded the comments section to wish Holly a Merry Christmas. One said: "Gorgeous!! Have a wonderful Christmas break." Another added: "Most of us will miss you, but Alison and Dermot or whoever takes over will look after us. Hope you all have a fab Christmas" A third wrote: "Hope you have a lovely Christmas Holly."
