Emmerdale has been forced to stop filming temporarily.
Disruption has been caused across the nation on railways and roads and apparently also on set in the fictional Yorkshire based village. It comes as the UK has been hit with yellow weather warnings from the Met Office for ice and snow.
The ITV soap's Jimmy King actor, Nick Miles, shared the news with fans on Twitter. He said: "Filming on Emmerdale cancelled today due to the snow. Look out Leeds. We're all going sledging."

Yesterday, on Thursday, March 9, the ITV soap's Rosie Bentham, who plays Gabby Thomas, and Lewis Cope, who plays Nicky, took to Instagram to share snaps of the iconic village set covered in snow. However, it was not bad enough to disrupt filming at the time.
Emmerdale stars are currently filming for episodes that will air in May. It is not known whether or not it will have any effect on ITV's scheduling but tonight's episode will still air as normal.
