Emmerdale fans had cause for celebration at the weekend as the soap scooped 'Best Soap' at the British Soap Awards 2022. However, it was Nottingham's own Rosie Bentham that had fans turning to social media to express their joy.
After Rosie posted a glamourous picture of herself in her slinky awards outfit with the caption "What a night @thebritishsoapawards. Best soap", fans and colleagues were quick to respond.
"You look amazing! So proud love you xxx", wrote one follower. "Gorgeous", wrote another. "So proud and so beautiful", said another.

Fellow Emmerdale actors added their responses to the post. Fiona Wade, who plays Priya Sharma, wrote simply: "Beauty". While Lawrence Robb, famed for playing Mackenzie Boyd on the show, remarked on the picture "What a shot!" with Rosie replying "Stop it".
Daisy Campbell, who plays Amelia Spencer on the ITV soap, added: "That's my bestie". While Isabel Hodgine (Victoria Barton in Emmerdale), joined in the conversation and admiration writing: "What a babe".
The fan-voted category of 'Best British Soap' saw Emmerdale battle against Coronation Street, Doctors, EastEnders and Hollyoaks to take the title. The ITV regular also picked up awards on the night including Best Leading Performer for Paige Sandhu (who plays Meena Jutla), Best Family went to The Dingles, Best Dramatic Performance for Mark Charnock (playing Marlon Dingle) and Best Single Episode - For Marlon's stroke.
