ITV's Cheltenham Festival 2022 coverage cut off suddenly with 'disruption' message

ITV's coverage of the Cheltenham Festival horse racing went off air temporarily this afternoon (March 15) without any explanation. The channel was airing an advert for betting company Coral during the first day of the festival when the programme was cut off.

A message appeared on the screen which said: "We're sorry for the disruption. We're working hard to fix the issue and will return to normal programming soon".

The channel returned to normal after a few seconds of disruption. One Twitter user, Andrew Stuart, posted a picture of the screen with a caption which said: "ITV looked interesting then (just a few seconds or so)".
