ITV Racing New Year's Day Schedule 2025

As January 1st approaches the ITV Racing schedule on New Year’s Day 2025 sees the cameras heading to the home of National Hunt racing Cheltenham for four races, plus are also north of the border to take in two contests at the Scottish track Musselburgh.

ITV Racing On New Year’s Day 2025: Six LIVE Races From Cheltenham and Musselburgh

There might be plenty of hangovers flying about on Wednesday 1st January 2025, but horse racing lovers have the perfect tonic with top National Hunt action from Cheltenham and Musselburgh to help ease the pounding heads.

The ITV Racing schedule for New Year’s Day will also see six races covered.

With four at Cheltenham and two at the Scottish track Musselburgh.

At Cheltenham, there are three decent handicaps to get stuck into, but the Grade 2 Relkeel Handicap (3:15) is the feature.

Where Golden Ace, who is the only horse to have beaten recent Neville Hotels Hurdle winner Brighterdaysahead, heads the market with the best horse racing betting sites in the UK.

She looks set to take on the Nicky Henderson-trained Lucky Place, Gary and Josh Moore’s Salver, who was third in the Triumph Hurdle last season, and two-time Coral Cup winner Langer Dan in what looks a decent renewal.

Then, up at Musselburgh, there are two more LIVE ITV Racing New Year’s Day races – with the Hogmaneigh Handicap Hurdle at 1:45pm one of the highlights as the Sandy Thomson-trained Benson looks to win the race for a third year on the spin.

In addition to the New Year’s Day ITV Racing from Cheltenham and Musselburgh – there will also be more coverage on the free-to-air channel on Saturday 4th January 2025.
