ITV Our House viewers fume after spotting 'detail' in Martin Compston's passport

The first and second episodes of Scottish actor Martin Compston's newest ITV drama Our House have landed this week, with many people online praising his performance so far.

The actor, known for playing Steve Arnott in BBC's Line of Duty, is now starring as Bram Lawson in his new role, an estranged husband married to Fi Lawson (Tuppence Middleton).

As good as Compston's acting has been so far, fans were quick to notice an obvious mistake on screen whilst a photo of his character's passport was shown in the show.

Although it was only in shot for a couple of frames, lots of Twitter fans have pointed out a 'ridiculous' location oversight.

In a close-up view of Bram's passport, with his full name, place of birth, and other relevant details, England is placed as the country that Compston's hometown of Greenock is located in.

The producers of the show mixed up the west coast of Scotland with England in quite a glaring blunder, and fans on Twitter were quick to point it out.

Most found the mishap priceless. One Twitter user said: "Since when was Greenock in England??? @martin_compston #OurHouse."

Another user praised the performance, but was astounded with the mistake: "Our House is unreal TV, cannae stop watching @martin_compston. But heads need to ROLL for this. I’m phoning the polis."

One person replied to this tweet, saying: "England can have Greenock, tbh."

A third wrote: "Greenock, England aye? #blooper @martin_compston."

And a further tweet read: "Couldn't resist watching ep 3 of new @ITV drama #OurHouse, based on the novel by @louise_candlish, via the @itvhub but there's something that should have been a fraud red flag right here... Greenock in England is it now aye @martin_compston? Get the @greenocktele investigating!"

Further tweets read: "Brilliant drama. Just please tell whoever mocked up Bram's passport that Greenock isn't in England!", and "@martin_compston your passport on ‘our house’ says Greenock, England !!"
