ITV Our House: Everything you need to know about the new thriller starring Martin Compston

Since Line of Duty finished and left us begging for season seven, many people have missed sitting down for an evening of watching AC-12's finest get to work.

The hole in our hearts was filled by none other than Vicky McClure herself after appearing in a new ITV drama - Trigger Point.

This drama has some LoD vibes as it turns the spotlight on counter terrorism policing and the extraordinary work of the Metropolitan Police Bomb Disposal Squad.

Sadly after an explosion went off, Vicky McClure, who plays front line officer Lana Washington, has to help an investigation into what happened to her co-worker and friend who died in the explosion whilst dealing with other bomb threats in between.

But if that's not enough drama Martin Compston is stepping in to save the day in a new thriller - Our House.

The public seem to love the idea already - although after the announcement - and what happened with Vigil, one fan replied on Twitter to Compston and asked: "Can u confirm ur in it longer than 8 mins??".

So what is it about and when can you watch it?

Here's everything you need to know about ITV's Our House.

Who stars in ITV's Our House?

Of course, we must first mention Greenock's Martin Compston.

As well as his role in Line of Duty, we also saw him in BBC's Vigil starring Suranne Jones.

Alongside the Scottish actor is Downton Abbey's Tuppence Middleton who will play estranged husband and wife Fi and Bram Lawson whilst Rupert Penry-Jones (The Drowning) takes the role of enigmatic Toby.

Also joining the cast are Weruche Opia (I May Destroy You) as Fi’s best friend and neighbour Merle and Buket Komur (Honour) as the mysterious and alluring Wendy.

Speaking about the highly anticipated show, Martin Compston said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be part of the cast of ITV’s Our House in the role of Bram. The scripts are genuinely thrilling, packed with twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end. I’m excited to bring them to the screen."

Tuppence Middleton added: "What struck me about Our House is its immense relatability - it's a story where you catch a glimpse of yourself in the characters, and you get the chilling realisation that what happens to Fi could happen to anyone."

What is ITV's Our House about?

The new drama is adapted by Simon Ashdown from the international best-selling novel and produced by Red Planet Pictures.

According to ITV, Our House narrates the story of Fiona Lawson who arrives home one day to find strangers moving into her house.

With all her family possessions and furniture nowhere to be found, Fi believes there hs been a huge mistake insisting that her home is not for sale.

"With events spiralling beyond her control, we feel her panic rising as she can’t reach estranged husband, Bram.

"As she reflects upon the safe space in which she and her family had made a life together, Fi begins to peel back the layers of her relationship and discovers her husband has also disappeared.

"With her life shattered, she realises the secrets and lies have only just begun, but her husband isn’t the only one with things to hide."
